OUR STORY

The Heartland Nomads are an American-roots duo based in Brooklyn, consisting of singer-songwriter, Chi Ko, and guitarist, Greg Meyer. The two met in Los Angeles, California while working at Liberty in North Korea, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and resettling North Korean refugees. With powerhouse vocals, lyrically driven songs, and stripped down instrumentation, their music tells compelling stories that speak to the human condition. In October 2016, they released their debut EP, Small but Fortunate and left their part-time jobs to pursue music full-time. They are pursuing music independently, performing at venues, festivals, and nursing homes across New York City. They have completed two tours, and are now embarking on their third. In August 2017, they will be going on their Small But Fortunate National Tour with Sofar Sounds.
